Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all purchases made on PrepMyEvent, a product of Smartians AI Private Limited. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all paid plans, credit purchases, and subscriptions made through PrepMyEvent. This policy is compliant with Razorpay payment gateway requirements and applicable Indian consumer protection laws.

2. Free Early Access

Joining the PrepMyEvent waitlist and early access program is completely free. No payment is required to join the waitlist. This policy applies only to paid transactions once the platform launches commercially.

3. Subscription Cancellation

Monthly Plans

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after the cancellation date
  • No refund will be issued for the remaining days of the current billing period

Annual Plans

For annual subscriptions:

  • Cancellations within 7 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations after 7 days but within 30 days are eligible for a pro-rated refund for unused months
  • No refunds are issued after 30 days of purchase

4. Credit Purchases

Credits purchased on PrepMyEvent are:

  • Non-transferable between accounts
  • Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified
  • Refundable only if unused and within 7 days of purchase
  • Not refundable once credits have been used to unlock attendee profiles

5. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure on our platform that prevented service delivery
  • Duplicate charges due to payment processing errors
  • Service unavailability for more than 48 consecutive hours
  • Annual plan cancellation within 7 days of purchase

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Credits already used to unlock attendee profiles
  • Monthly subscription fees for the current billing period
  • Purchases older than 30 days (except annual plans as noted above)
  • Accounts suspended due to violation of our Terms of Use

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request"
  • Include your registered email address, order/transaction ID, and reason for the refund request
  • Refund requests are processed within 7-10 business days
  • Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 5-7 business days after approval

8. Payment Gateway

All payments on PrepMyEvent are processed through Razorpay. Refunds processed through Razorpay are subject to Razorpay's refund processing timelines, which are typically 5-7 business days for credit/debit cards and 1-3 business days for UPI and net banking.

9. Disputes

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged or have a billing dispute, please contact us within 30 days of the charge at [email protected]. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
